Good luck

Luck is something people pursue from the old. Someone think luck is about uncontrollable fate, comes along since your birth. Someone is waiting for their timing of luck. Someone ask luck from their gods. Kids hang loads of white cotton sunshine dolls on windows to pray for sunshine for tomorrow’s football match.

People craft various luck symbols in different cultures. The blue eye amulet is popular in Greece, Turkey, Iran etc. to ward off the malevolent glare. Tiki mask,  hand-carved wooden masks, protects their users from evil spirits or even blesses the mask wearers  with fertility and good luck, though they look ugly and scary.

Inspired by a clean edge cutting glass house in Mexico, I would rather base on its structure to create my own little fortune house which will be hanged on top of my forehead on my back wall of my bed.

Selecting all the elements from the grocery store downstairs, I start building my own luck.

Ingredients were put under the light to make sure they are in good quality like egg inspection, haha.

After several hours of surgery, they are combined with a rough finishing touch. The features of the building become 3D in the work. Stairs on right bottom turned to the white repairing plug, pink and yellow clothes hanging string becomes the left big wall, different materials stand for different panels.
